Logistics
As a guest of our wedding, you are invited to stay with us at YMCA Camp Round Meadow. Check in is Friday, September 27 at 2:00 pm, and check out is Sunday, September 29 at 1:00 pm.
Phone reception is very limited/non existent!
Packing List
You should bring the following:
- Towel for showering
- Sleeping bag and pillow (the bunk beds have mattresses but no bedding)
- Reusable water bottle (altitude means you'll need more!)
- Head lamp or flash light
- Closed toed shoes (allegedly the camp requires them during non-wedding times)
- Long pants (allegedly the camp requires them for zipline, climbing wall, high ropes)
- BYO alcoholic/non-alcoholic beverages for Friday night
Sleeping
Camp Round Meadow has 16 cabins that sleep 12 people each. There is plenty of space to sleep everyone, if you are interested. We will assign people to cabins depending on what you indicate in your RSVP, so let us know if your plans change.
If you stay with us, you need to bring a sleeping bag and pillow. A mattress will be provided. The beds are bunk beds. There are heaters and power points in all cabins. There are bathroom blocks near each cabin with toilets, showers, mirrors, power points etc.
If you would like to stay off site, there are a number of Airbnb cabins in the area (~30 minute drive), and limited hotel options nearby. The closest hotel is Angelus Oaks Lodge (limited availablity, book quickly!)
Food
We will provide 5 meals at Camp Round Meadow (Friday dinner - Sunday brunch). There will also be snacks available for in-between times. We’ll do our best to cater to specific dietary restrictions, but you should reach out if you’re worried. If you want to bring your own food, there’s a refrigerator, microwave, and BBQ you can use.
Please bring your favorite drinks for Friday night. We will provide beer, wine, and some spirits for the reception on Saturday night.
Coffee will be provided.
Dress Code
We want our guests to be comfortable, so please wear whatever you’ll feel best in throughout the weekend. We’ll be wearing a lot of flannel and hiking boots.
During the wedding, we’ll put on more traditional clothes. You are welcome to join us in dressing up, but the most important thing is your comfort. Here are some things to keep in mind:
- Some areas are too steep and slippery for formal shoes
- It could get dusty and smoky by the fire pit
- We expect it to be a little chilly at night
